Utah Phillips 2004 interview with Amy Goodman on Democracy Now!

I can't believe I've never posted these interviews in their entirety. A big thank you to YouTube user mediagrrl9 for this footage. I came across this interview years ago and revisit them for inspiration.

Those who know me know that I have many obsessions. Cupcakes, Tea, Hello Kitty, Psychology, Feminism, and Good Story Tellers. I'm a sucker for a good story teller & Utah Phillips is one of the best. A folk singer, poet, former union worker, activist, feminist, a former tramp/hobo/bum and a damn good story teller. Story telling is an art & he did it well. A man born on the same date of my birth and a man who died in 2008.

PART 1 - Amy Goodman interviews Utah Phillips for Democracy Now! in 2004. In Part 1 of the interview, he talks about his approach to music and learning from his audiences.
