Wildly creative fashion designer Alexander McQueen dies at 40 years of age

World renowned designer Alexander McQueen was found dead this morning in his London apartment. The designer committed suicide at 40 years old. McQueen became known as a designer in 1996. McQueen was named British designer of the year four times throughout his career and was known for his wildly artistic designs.

Below are just some of his amazing creations. He was truly an artist. I envy these women who were able to feel and wear such beautiful pieces.

I first came to know McQueen's work only recently as pop singer and avant garde performer Lady Gaga has worn many of McQueen's garments. Above is a runway model sporting a similar outfit as Lady Gaga in the below image.
